Welcome to my web-page. And let me introduce myself. I am a writer and celebrant (and sometimes a sheep farmer) living in a small rural town in North East Victoria. I’ve done lots of different things with my life and travelled to some wonderful places, seen enough to say that I am where I want to be in life. I love what I do and where I live and the people with whom I share my life.
It’s been a convoluted journey. I have been a nurse, welfare-worker, writer, teacher, and celebrant, but each role has led into the others. While welfare work involved a different focus in caring, my nursing experience still proved invaluable. I always tried to keep up my writing wherever I was working but it wasn’t until the late 1990s that I was able to make it a priority in my life. Since then, I’ve been widely published, including a book called Sunwyse. The term itself means to follow the direction of the sun, and is about becoming attuned to the natural cycles of life. It seemed a good name for my business, something to aspire towards.
I am always writing, studying and teaching in one way or another. Currently my time is taken up with writing projects, manuscript assessment, celebrancy, post-grad study, a couple of different jobs, and weaning five orphaned lambs. Life is busy but there’s always room for more. If I can help you in any way, please do get in contact.
